If the “New Order” button is inactive, it means that you have connected to your account using the investor password. When connecting, you have to use the trader’s password to be able to place orders. The trader’s password is used for logging into the trading account and allows you to open, close and modify your orders.
The investor password is only used to view the account. You can log into a trading account and view it, but you won’t be able to open, close or edit trades. Also, make sure to use the appropriate symbol suffixes for your account type. To display all symbols, right-click on a symbol and select “Show all”.
