Dear clients,
Please note that as part of a scheduled optimization of trading servers, we will partially archive trading history on live MetaTrader 4 accounts on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Maintenance will be conducted from 0:30 13.05.2023 till 0:30 EEST 14.05.2023.
The history of all trading transactions made before 01.01.2023 will be archived and will no longer be available for viewing in the trading platform. The overall financial result of the archived positions will be displayed in the “Account history” as a single balance operation as of 2023.01.01 00:00:00 with the comment “History compression”. This will allow you to determine the account’s overall financial result in the future.
For example, in 2020, you closed one trade with a financial result of -$90, and in 2021, you made another trade with a $360 profit. After archiving, those trades will disappear, and instead, one balance operation for +$270 with the date 2023.01.01 00:00:00 and comment “History compression” will be displayed.
We strongly recommend saving any trading history you would like to keep for your reports in advance. To do this, open the MetaTrader 4 platform and go to the “Account History” tab in the “Terminal” window at the bottom of the screen. Right-click anywhere in the “Account History” tab and select “Save as Report” from the pop-up menu.
Also, you will have the opportunity to request a trading report with the archived transactions in your Personal Area. To do this, go to “Trading” – “My Accounts” – click on the V to the left of the account number and select “Request a report”. The report will be sent to your email address within the next 24 hours.
Please note that cryptocurrency trading will not be available during maintenance hours. Pending orders to open/close a position will not be executed during this period. To avoid undesired results, please ensure you have sufficient funds in your account before maintenance starts, or do not leave any open cryptocurrency positions during maintenance. The company is not responsible for any lost profits and/or losses associated with the movement of cryptocurrency quotes during the maintenance period.
Archiving a part of trading history will increase the efficiency of trading servers and result in higher processing and order execution speed.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Frequently asked questions
It is a process of “archiving” the history of trading operations (buy/sell orders) on live accounts in MT4. As a result of the compression, a number of closed trading positions are converted into a single balance operation (Balance type in MT4 Account History) with the “History compression” comment, which displays the total financial result (profit/loss + commissions + swaps) for the “compressed” orders at the time of archiving.
According to clause 2.50 of the Regulations on trading operations for MT4 accounts, the Company may compress the history of all trading transactions older than 3 months.
Trading accounts history compression can only take place on a weekend (Saturday) at the time of a scheduled trading servers’ optimization. Kindly note that at the time of optimization, trading in cryptocurrencies will not be available.
Compression of trading operations will not affect any open positions. Only closed positions can be archived (with a closing date of more than 3 months prior to the compression).
You can order a trading report displaying archived trades in the AMarkets personal area. To do this, go to Trading – My Accounts – click on the V to the left of the account number and select “Request trading report”. Within 24 hours, the report will be sent to your email address.
Trading history compression is a standard part of trading servers’ optimization, which is regularly carried out by all brokers. Its main goal is to further optimize our trading servers in order to ensure the maximum stability and efficiency for our clients since optimization has a direct impact on the order execution speed.
Considering that trading history compression is a standard procedure for trading servers’ optimization, all MT4 trading accounts are subject to compression, except for Copy Trading accounts (strategy and investment accounts). We recommend that you prepare in advance and, if necessary, save trading account statements. To do this, open the “Account History” tab in the MT4 platform, right-click and select “All History”, right-click again and select “Save as Report”.
